How do I know which size to get?
Please pay attention to the specified weight ranges as they
are very indicative of which size you should be on. The Quiver Killer, Mako and
project X boards are ridden at normal lengths, everything else has a different
size range than what could be considered normal. Recommendations are also
written in the board descriptions. For example the What?, which is a 144cm
board, is for a 140-200lbs rider and typically ridden 10-20cm shorter than your
normal board (say a Quiver Killer).
If you have any questions please send us an email, we love to get people on the
right board for them, they’re riding style and where they’re riding.
What's with the weird shapes? do they work?
Every shape is designed to push the envelope of what's possible, to create a different feeling while riding and allow you to manuever and place the board into new places. Some shapes force you to ride differently. Similar to the difference between a thruster surfboard and a twin fin. You can rip on both but you're surfing will be different because the boards are different.
No shape is random. There's a reason for every curve on every board and if you really want to find out why, talk to Justin and he'll talk your ear off about every nuance to each shape, the physics behind it and the desired feeling it creates.
How do I order?
Typically our boards are made to order and can take anywhere
from 1-3 weeks to build. If we have one built as you ordered, we’ll ship it out
as soon as possible. Also, there might be a different variation in our “In Stock” page, which is always worth checking.
Can I get a black or white splitboard?
Yes, but they’re done with a resin tint as this is part of
our superlight construction.
How does the resin tint work?
Similar to a surfboard resin tint, we color the epoxy with
your specified colors prior (we will contact you) to the board being pressed.
Once the board is in the press, the epoxy flows how it wants and creates your
board which now has a unique ‘fingerprint’. We cannot guarantee color or
shapes/ideas into this process as the epoxy has a mind of it’s own, which is
part of the fun.
Where are the board specs?
We work a little off surfing and think the boards should have some mystery to them and you need to trust the shaper's knowledge of his creations. We like to work with our clients to pick the right shape for their riding style. Also some of our specs seem quite odd from the actual number perspective but are magic with our Spline Science Shaping.
We do list the waist width and sidecuts (board depending) behind the board sizes.
We know some riders really like to know their specs. We understand. We've been disecting board specs for decades. So..if you really, really want to know the specs, we still won't tell you. But we will do our best to get you onto the right board.
Is there a reference stance on the boards?
Yes, typically we mark the reference stance with dots inside the inserts as well as right at the insert topsheet interface. They're there to give you an idea of where on the board to start measuring your personal stance width and location.
If you have any questions regarding your board please contact us
Why is my base bumpy and covered in wax?
We hot wax all of our boards and ship them without scraping for several reasons. A typical 'factory wax' is a buffing wheel with wax on it, which doesn't do much. So we hot wax the board with an all temp wax so it really penetrates the base. Also, to save on plastic wrapping the hot wax gives a great layer of protection for the base during shipping.
While you can scrape the wax and go riding, for best performance we do recommend re-waxing your board for local conditions. As a maintenance/speed issue the more you wax your board, the faster it will go over its life.
If for some reason you cannot scrape your board and want it sent scraped, please let us know.
What's the warranty on the boards?
All the boards have a 2 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for the original owner (from the date of purchase). Wear and tear from riding and touring are not covered.
There's a scratch on my new board, is it a warranty?
Sorry. We hand make snowboards and do our best to keep them shiny until you get them, but very minor scratches may occur in our processing. Also, we don't ship them wrapped in plastic to save on waste. All of this is in the realisation that they're snowboards and will be scratched more by mounting your bindings.
Can you send me a photo of my board before shipping?
Sorry, no. We feel it’s a fun surprise for you to open a box
and see exactly how your board turned out.
Can the flex be changed?
Yes for an additional fee. Please contact us.
How to I order a custom board or customize an existing one?
Please send us an email and we’ll be happy to help get it
going.
Can I order custom graphics?
Outside of our resin tints and pre made topsheets, we don’t do custom graphics.
Do you ship via UPS in Canada?
Yes, if desired. We have found that Canada Post is generally a
bit cheaper for about the same speed.
Do you ship to the US or overseas?
Yes. We generally will ship via UPS. The prices seen on the
check out page are approximate. We do our best to get the cheapest price for the desired shipping speed, so the prices may change and we will refund the difference.
The shipping price changed. What happened?
We will strive to get you the best shipping price we can for
the timeline you want, so that may change from ordering to shipping, which may
be a few weeks depending on the order. Also, we’re dealing with a new website
so we’re expecting some surprises around the shipping.
Do you charge a handling fee?
No. We have always passed along the exact charge from the
shipper.
